Yes! Choose your tree at one of our lots and we’ll arrange delivery! Ask about this service when purchasing your tree.

We accept cash and most major credit cards.

Currently we carry six different varieties of trees fresh from Oregon: Douglas Fir, Noble Fir, Grand Fir, Nordman Fir, Black Hills Spruce and Silvertips.

Trees typically range in size from 2 feet to 14 feet tall. Oversized or specialty Christmas trees may be available to order upon request. Contact us at  if you’re looking for a certain size, shape or special Christmas tree.

Along with farm fresh Oregon Christmas trees in many varieties, we also sell tree stands, tree flocking (at certain locations), firewood by the wheelbarrow, fresh wreaths, Hatch chili strings, tree stands, and more Xmas Xtras!

Flocking is the process of adorning a tree with artificial snow. By spraying your Christmas tree with this flame-retardant “fake snow”, the result simulates frost-covered branches and gives your tree a magical, movie-like quality that’s straight from a fairytale.

Our tree flocking service is only available at select Buckelew Farm Christmas tree lots, so check that your location provides the flocking service before you purchase your tree.

A healthy, fresh-cut Christmas tree like those from our Buckelew Farm lots can last for up to 4-6 weeks if properly cared for.

If a tree has been sitting in the lot or on a truck for a few weeks like the major chains sell, it won’t last nearly as long as one that was cut just a few days before like our Christmas trees which are freshly cut and delivered from an Oregon farm in just two days.

We guarantee our Christmas Trees through Christmas Day. If you’re unhappy with your tree or it’s unhealthy, simply bring it back to the Buckelew location you bought it from with your proof of purchase from that lot (i.e. receipt) and we will swap it out for a new one.

There is nothing like a fresh, fragrant Christmas tree at Christmas time. While we prefer any real tree over an artificial tree, not all Christmas trees are created equal and not every tree is for everyone.

Our smiling staff will help you choose the right tree based on your needs, but when selecting your perfect Christmas tree, remember the “4 S’s” – Species, Size, Style & Substance.

SPECIES

We carry a wide variety of tree species including Douglas Fir, Noble Fir, Grand Fir, Nordman Fir, Black Hills Spruce and Silvertips – each with their own benefits from smell, to shape, to hardiness, to color, and more. Some tree varieties like Nordmann Firs have sturdier branches than others which hold heavy ornaments better. Find your perfect tree species by CLICKING HERE.

SIZE

Trees generally look smaller on the lot, so make sure to measure the space your tree will be in before you buy anything. Know how tall your ceilings are. Know how wide the room or area will be in order to accommodate the tree. Don’t forget to allow room for the tree topper and remember, the Christmas tree stand will add a few inches or more to the overall height.

STYLE
From the overall shape to its color to the trim of the tree, and whether you want to add flocking, the style of the tree you select is different based on its species or variety. Depending on how you want to decorate your tree, you might want to consider whether you want a trim that is tighter or looser (looser trim makes it easier to display your ornaments) or whether it is able to support a large number of Christmas tree lights.

SUBSTANCE
Yes, you want a beautiful tree, but you also want a fresh tree. With a brand new shipment arriving weekly from Oregon throughout December, our Christmas trees are guaranteed fresh, brightly colored, super hardy, and smell wonderful.

Take the Buckelew Farm freshness check: If you bend the branch, does it bounce back into place? The fresher the tree, the stronger the needles, the more supple the branches, and the faster they will bounce back.

We always recommend making a fresh cut if possible. Only one half inch is necessary, not one or two inches as is sometimes instructed. After time, generally 3 to 6 hours, the cut stump gets air in the plant tissue, which lessens a tree’s water absorption capacity. A fresh cut will reopen the pores that absorb water.

No! Research has shown that plain tap water is best. Sometimes hot water may increase water uptake, but commercial additives, colas, and home concoctions can actually be detrimental to a tree’s moisture retention and increase needle loss. Water holding stands that are kept filled with plain water will extend the freshness of trees for several weeks.

The most important characteristic of any tree stand is water capacity – the more it holds, the better. You should also make sure the stand “fits” the tree — if it is too big or too small it might cause the tree to tip over. Do NOT trim the sides of the trunk to fit it in a stand.

And remember, the best indicator of dryness is the tree itself, not the water level in the stand. Hot tap water in the tree stand may increase water uptake in some trees, but the rate of water absorption will fluctuate from day to day, and is part of the normal process.

No, according to the National Christmas Tree Association, less than 0.0004% of real Christmas trees used each year are ignited in home fires and NEVER has a real Christmas tree caused or started a fire. Even though the chance of a fire is very slim, you can ensure that your real Christmas tree stays fresh and safe by following the NCTA’s recommended care tips.

Actually, it is much better environmentally and economically to use a natural agricultural crop and recycle it after the holidays than purchase a fake plastic tree. Unfortunately, many people have the misconception that Christmas trees are cut down from the forest, but real Christmas trees are a renewable, recyclable, natural product grown on farms throughout North America.

Grown like any other crop such as corn or wheat, and raised on a farm, once the trees are harvested, new seedlings are planted to replace harvested trees. These would NOT have been planted if trees hadn’t been harvested the previous year. Fake Christmas trees, however, are a non-renewable, non-biodegradable plastic and metal product most often made in overseas factories that, once discarded, remain in landfills and do not break down or biodegrade.

Southern Arizona has many successful tree recycling programs including the City of Tucson’s TreeCycle Program. TreeCycle sites can be found by CLICKING HERE.

Our trees come from a small Oregon farm and as soon as they are cut, they are loaded on the truck and come to us the very next day. We receive a new delivery every week throughout December to ensure we have a large selection of fresh, farm raised trees in a variety of sizes and species.

Our trees are guaranteed fresh, are super hardy, and smell wonderful – they’re the freshest trees found anywhere in Arizona!
